Rules & Regulations

CHILDREN – Children are required to be under adult supervision at all times and are the responsibility of their parents/guardians. Children must be on their own lots or accompanied by an adult after dark. Playground equipment is not to be used after dark. Bicycle riding is permitted on park roadways only and is not permitted after dusk. Parents are responsible for the safety of their own children regarding the use of safety equipment.
POOL – Pool is to be used at your own risk between 9:00am and 9:00pm/dusk (daily). Adult Swim Times (18 years or older) are from 4:00pm-5:00pm daily and are posted outside pool area. Children must leave the pool area during this time. There is no lifeguard on duty at the pool. Harbourside Family Trailer Park accepts no liability for accidents or injuries that occur in the pool enclosure. All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a person 16 years of age or older. Please obey the posted pool rules at all times. Anyone found to be breaking pool rules may be asked to leave.
PROHIBITED ITEMS – Motorcycles may be driven to their designated lot only. Motorized pleasure vehicles such as ATVs, dirt bikes, etc. are prohibited inside the park. Fireworks/firecrackers, firearms, pellet or air guns, sling shots, or shooting of any kind are prohibited.
ETIQUETTE - Practice good camping manners by respecting the property and privacy of other individuals. Please do not take shortcuts through other lots. Aggressive action (verbal or physical) toward another person will not be tolerated. In addition, any violation of any federal, provincial, or municipal laws by a camper or his/her guests, will likely result in eviction. If you are impeding the enjoyment of anyone around you, or in the park, it may lead to eviction.
EMERGENCIES – In the event of an emergency, call 911 (emergency phones located in the store and at front of pool) and then notify park owners (Office Phone: 519-243-2461), so emergency vehicles can be directed as quickly as possible to the correct area or lot. A first aid kit is available at the store. In the event of severe weather, emergency meeting areas are in any of the washroom buildings or at the back of the store building.

The trailer park reserves the right to ask any camper to leave the trailer park for non-compliance with the above rules, or any other reasonable request made to discontinue unruly behaviour or offensive noise in any way. Rules are subject to change without notice. We strive to provide a pleasant, clean, and safe environment that all campers can share, enjoy, and take pride in. We appreciate your co-operation to make camping a positive experience for everyone.

CHECK-IN - Check in time is 3:00pm - 8:00pm and check out time is 11:00am. Fees may apply outside these hours. PLEASE NOTE! We are a family campground and do not tolerate excessive noise, excessive alcohol consumption, or offensive language. If during your stay, you are found by management to be causing any of the above, or are generally disruptive to the family camping environment, you will be asked to leave immediately without refund, and a $50/person disturbance fee may be charged to your credit card.
GATE CARDS - Transient campers can receive a gate card for a $20 deposit, which is fully refundable when returned in working condition. You will need a gate card to enter the trailer park. If you choose not to obtain a gate card, you will be given access to park your trailer, then you will park in the parking lot. If gate cards are found in the hands of friends, or any person other than those registered, the cards will be removed and passes revoked.
SPEED – Obey the speed limit of 10 km/hr for the safety of our children. Offenders will lose their driving privileges within the park. All rules of the highway traffic act apply in our trailer park. VEHICLES/PARKING - One car per lot, all other vehicles must be parked in the parking lot. If your vehicles do not fit on your lot, please do not park on the road or vacant lots - ask management for an appropriate spot to park. Boats, sea-dos, hard-tops, utility trailers, etc. are not allowed on the lot or in the parking lot, these items can be parked along the road outside of the trailer park. All vehicles in the trailer park, including the parking lot, must be registered in the store or office.
VISITORS - Camping rates per site are for 2 adults and their dependent children 18 years and under. Any additional visitors (daytime or overnight) must be registered in the store or office before entering the park. Overnight fees will apply. You are responsible for your guests. Ensure that your visitors have registered before entering the park. If they do not, you are responsible. Day visitors must arrive before 9:00pm and must leave by 11:00pm.
QUIET HOURS - Quiet hours are from 11:00pm to 9:00am daily. Show consideration to your neighbours! No radios, T.V., or any musical instruments played outside your trailer after 11:00pm, or any other noise which will disturb campers, including lawnmowers and power tools. If your noise disturbs either your neighbours, park owners, or any other campsites, then it is too loud.
ALCOHOL - Provincial Law requires that personal alcoholic beverages be consumed on your campsite only- no walking around the park with open alcohol. Excessive drinking and/or unruly behaviour will not be tolerated and will result in immediate eviction without refund.
SITE MAINTENANCE/TREES – Please keep your site clear of litter and debris during your stay. Defacing or vandalizing park property is prohibited. Defacing, breaking, chopping, cutting of trees or stripping bark from trees or bushes is prohibited. Nailing or screwing devices into trees is also prohibited for the health and protection of the trees. Please, no clotheslines attached to trees! Upon departure, please ensure the site is left as it was found.
GOLF CARTS – For liability reasons, overnight campers are not permitted to bring golf carts into the park.
GARBAGE- Garbage bin is located in parking lot outside of main park entrance. Garbage tags are required in order to dump garbage in the bin and can be purchased in the store or manager’s trailer. Recycling is located by the workshop & washroom building. Please, no dumping from outside of the park.
CAMPFIRES - Campfires are allowed in existing fire pits only and must be contained to the size of the fire pit. All campfires must be attended at all times and must be completely extinguished before you leave or retire for the evening. Please do not move fire pits.
PETS - Pets are welcome, as long as they are kept on a leash at all times, quiet, and never left unattended. Pick up after your pets immediately, put waste into a securely tied plastic bag, and deposit into appropriate garbage container. No pets allowed in the playground, playfield, pool enclosures, washroom buildings, Clubhouse, office, or rental cabins. At the discretion of the campground owner, any pet can be denied or banned from the park.
